During a league match on Sunday, SC Cambuur reported that several fans sustained injuries due to fireworks thrown by Feyenoord supporters at the Kooi Stadion. The incident led to a 10-minute suspension of play in the first half.
Five supporters were confirmed injured, suffering from burns, hearing damage, and eye injuries. Feyenoord's head coach issued an apology on behalf of the club, emphasizing that such actions are unacceptable in a football stadium. SC Cambuur stated they would collaborate with authorities to ensure accountability.
Feyenoord's general manager expressed dissatisfaction with the victory, highlighting the ongoing issue of fireworks in football.
