Scarlets Sign Chris Apoua from Moana Pasifika

Scarlets have officially signed Chris Apoua, a former tight-head prop for Moana Pasifika, as they gear up for the new season.

The 34-year-old, who hails from Auckland and has Samoan heritage, has played 85 senior matches in New Zealand, including stints in Super Rugby and provincial rugby with Northland and Southland. Apoua spent the last four seasons with Moana Pasifika before the team disbanded this year.

Apoua expressed his hope that his experience will contribute to the team's success at Scarlets, which has seen several new signings this summer. Scarlets' director of rugby, Nigel Davies, noted that Apoua's physicality and experience will enhance the squad, emphasizing the importance of selective recruitment to strengthen the team.
