Scott McTominay Cleared to Return to Napoli After Heart Procedure
Scott McTominay, a midfielder for Napoli and Scotland international, has been cleared to return to competitive football after a successful heart procedure.
The 29-year-old underwent a planned operation in September at Spire Hospital in Manchester to address a mild, benign arrhythmia. Following thorough follow-up tests, Napoli confirmed that McTominay is fit to play and has resumed training with the team.
McTominay had been sidelined since August, missing important matches, including a Serie A defeat to Inter Milan and a loss to Arsenal in the Champions League. His return is timely for manager Massimiliano Allegri as Napoli currently sits ninth in the Serie A standings, and he is expected to be available for selection in the upcoming match against Frosinone.
