Scott McTominay to Undergo Heart Surgery
Scott McTominay, a midfielder for Napoli and the Scotland national team, is scheduled to undergo heart surgery following a diagnosis of mild benign arrhythmia, as confirmed by the Serie A club.
The surgery will result in McTominay missing eight matches, including four for Napoli, who will face Inter Milan, Arsenal, Bologna, and Fiorentina in the coming weeks. He has played in both of Napoli's matches this season but was substituted during their recent loss to Como.
Additionally, McTominay will be unavailable for Scotland's upcoming games against Slovenia, Switzerland, and North Macedonia as they start their UEFA Nations League campaign. Since joining Napoli in 2024, he has contributed significantly to the team's success, scoring 27 goals and providing seven assists.
