Scottie Scheffler Aims for Strong Finish at BMW Championship
Scottie Scheffler showcased an impressive recovery during the second day of the BMW Championship at Bellerive on Friday. After starting with a round of 72, he faced an early setback with a bogey on his first hole but quickly rebounded with a birdie on the second hole.
Despite another bogey on the sixth hole, Scheffler played exceptionally well for the remainder of the round, finishing five-under par. This performance brought him back into contention, placing him seven strokes behind the leader, J.J. Spaun.
Following his round, Scheffler expressed his thoughts on the scores he needs to achieve over the weekend to have a chance at victory. He indicated that replicating his strong back nine performance, where he shot a 30, would be crucial. He noted that shooting two rounds of 60 or even two rounds of 64 could potentially secure him the championship.
