Starting strong, Scheffler made five consecutive birdies and reached six-under through seven holes. He added five more birdies on the back nine, showcasing his exceptional skills. Notably, this marked the first time in his PGA Tour career that he led the field in both Strokes Gained: Approach and Strokes Gained: Putting, with gains of 3.87 and 3.28 strokes respectively.
