Scottish Teams Aim for Medals at European Curling Championships 2026
Scottish curlers Grant Hardie and Fay Henderson are competing in the European Curling Championships this week in Ostrava, with aspirations of winning medals.
Last year, the Scottish women's team secured a silver medal while the men's team took bronze, but only three curlers from those teams are returning this year. Both Hardie and Henderson have stepped into skip roles after previously serving as alternates and deputies, respectively, and both led their teams to victory in the Scottish Championships earlier this year.
Hardie, who recently left Team Mouat, is now skip of Team (Ross) Whyte and aims to win the championship, acknowledging the strong competition. Henderson, who has previously won silver and bronze medals but has not played at the European level, is also focused on making a strong impression and hopes to secure a podium finish.
