Seahawks' Derick Hall Discusses Resolution After Practice Fight
The Seattle Seahawks, featured in HBO's 'Hard Knocks' for the first time, experienced a notable incident during practice last Friday when linebacker Derick Hall engaged in a fight with offensive lineman Bryce Cabeldue. The altercation, which included Hall putting Cabeldue in a chokehold and body-slamming him, was highlighted in the show's debut episode.
After practice on Wednesday, Hall acknowledged that the situation had escalated but confirmed that he and his teammates have reconciled. He emphasized the bond within the team, stating that they addressed the incident and moved forward together. Defensive coordinator Aden Durde mentioned that fullback Brady Russell had encouraged Hall during the fight, suggesting that Hall's recent contract extension may have influenced his behavior.
Head coach Mike Macdonald expressed pride in how the team has managed the situation, noting that the players involved have handled it well. Hall also shared a lighter moment from training camp, where he accidentally drove his modified truck over an HBO camera, further showcasing his personality off the field.
