Seahawks Develop Jalen Milroe as Quarterback

The Seattle Seahawks selected quarterback Jalen Milroe with a third-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, mirroring their earlier choice of Russell Wilson 13 years prior.

Initially, the team intended to implement a specific play package for Milroe, but this plan did not materialize. In his first season, Milroe participated in three games, taking one snap each time, primarily running the ball for minimal gains.

In a recent game against the Cowboys, Milroe was more involved, playing 30 snaps, completing five of eight passes for 36 yards, and rushing for an additional 36 yards. Coach Mike Macdonald emphasized the importance of Milroe extending plays, encouraging him to balance between searching for passing opportunities and utilizing his mobility effectively.
