General Manager John Schneider indicated that the team intends to bring Diggs back onto the practice squad. As a vested veteran, Diggs will not need to go through waivers, allowing him the option to sign with any team's roster or practice squad, although interest from other teams is expected to be limited due to his recent signing with Seattle.

Schneider noted that Diggs is well-regarded by players, coaches, and staff, and emphasized that he requires additional time to adjust to the team. Diggs was previously a second-round draft pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2020 and has been selected for the Pro Bowl twice during his tenure in Dallas.
