Seahawks Provide Uncertainty on Zach Charbonnet's Sunday Status
The Seattle Seahawks have generated mixed messages this week about the availability of running back Zach Charbonnet for their upcoming game on Sunday. The decision regarding his status was made on Friday.
Charbonnet, who is recovering from a torn ACL sustained in January, returned to practice on October 1 and was moved to the active roster this week. He participated fully in practice sessions on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Head coach Mike Macdonald indicated earlier in the week that Charbonnet would have a full week of practice, suggesting a possibility of him playing on Sunday. However, on Friday, Macdonald's comments implied that not playing was part of the plan all along. The Seahawks did not violate any injury-reporting rules, although the situation has raised eyebrows, especially after ESPN's Ian Rapoport suggested Charbonnet would play significantly on Sunday night.
