Seahawks Set to Sign Terrion Arnold Amid Legal Issues

The Seattle Seahawks are reportedly preparing to sign cornerback Terrion Arnold, previously with the Detroit Lions, according to a league source. Arnold, a first-round pick in 2024, was released by the Lions on June 29, shortly after his arrest on serious charges.

Arnold voluntarily turned himself in to authorities on June 24 in Tampa, Florida, facing four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, which could lead to a life sentence. Initially held without bond, he was later granted bail set at $1 million by Judge Christopher C. Sabella, who denied a prosecution request for an ankle monitor that would hinder his NFL career.

Despite his ongoing legal issues, Arnold has attracted interest from several NFL teams, including the Houston Texans, New Orleans Saints, and New York Giants. He played 24 games over two seasons with the Lions, recording one interception, and had a notable college career at Alabama. Arnold is scheduled to appear in court again on October 5.
