Seahawks Trade for All-Pro Guard Quenton Nelson from Colts
The Seattle Seahawks have secured the services of Quenton Nelson, an eight-time Pro Bowl guard, from the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick. This acquisition is part of Seattle's strategy to bolster their offensive line for the remainder of the 2026 season.
Nelson, who has maintained a strong performance with an 85.7 overall grade in 2026, has consistently ranked among the top guards in the league. His addition comes as the Seahawks seek to improve an offensive line currently positioned 19th in pass-blocking efficiency, having allowed 15 sacks and 31 hits through the first seven weeks of the season.
With Nelson's arrival, the Seahawks may need to adjust their offensive line configuration, potentially moving current left guard Grey Zabel to a different position. Meanwhile, the Colts plan to replace Nelson with rookie Jalen Farmer, who was drafted in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
