Seahawks Trade for Pro Bowl Guard Quenton Nelson from Colts
The Seattle Seahawks have secured Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson from the Indianapolis Colts, as reported by ESPN's Adam Schefter. This trade was announced on Tuesday.
In the deal, the Colts will receive a third-round pick in 2027 and a fifth-round pick in 2028 from the Seahawks. Nelson, who has been a standout player since being drafted sixth overall in 2018, is set to become a free agent in March but has not publicly discussed his future plans.
Nelson, a six-foot-five, 330-pound lineman, has been a consistent performer, starting every game for the past four seasons and participating in 99 percent of the Colts' offensive snaps this year. The Seahawks, who are currently 4-3 after winning Super Bowl LX, have maintained a strong offensive line, while the Colts are struggling with a 2-5 record and recently dismissed their long-time general manager.
