Sean Brady Withdraws from UFC Vegas 124 Due to Staph Infection
Sean Brady has officially withdrawn from the main event at UFC Vegas 124 due to an ongoing battle with a staph infection. This decision comes after he experienced knee issues during training, which escalated to the point where he could not walk.
Brady's infection was confirmed by doctors after he had to wait for bacteria to grow. He suspects that a minor cut on his knee, which had previously troubled him, led to this infection. Despite his hopes to still compete this year, the remaining UFC events are either unavailable or fully booked.
Brady is now targeting a return to the octagon on January 16 in Dallas and mentioned the possibility of rescheduling his fight against Gabriel Bonfim, acknowledging the challenges faced by fighters when opponents withdraw on short notice.
