Sean Keys Transitions to Left Field to Boost Major League Prospects

Sean Keys, a top prospect for the Toronto Blue Jays, is set to change positions from infielder to left field at triple-A Buffalo this week, as announced by manager John Schneider.

Keys, ranked as the Blue Jays' No. 6 prospect by MLB Pipeline, has been performing well at triple-A, boasting a batting average of .293 with 13 home runs. His recent performance in August has been particularly strong, with a .375 average and six home runs over 21 games.

Previously, Keys played 12 games for the Blue Jays in late June and early July, where he recorded one home run and five RBIs while primarily at first base. The shift to left field is seen as a strategic move to facilitate his return to the majors, especially as the team has been rotating players in that position throughout the season.
