Rams coach Sean McVay discusses the possibility of having two kickers on the 48-man game-day roster following recent changes in the team's special teams.
Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed the potential of including two kickers on the 48-man game-day roster after the team shifted to Brandon McManus due to Blake Grupe's injury.
Grupe, who replaced Harrison Mevis, suffered a torn ACL, prompting the Rams to re-sign Joshua Karty to their practice squad. McVay noted that the decision would depend on various factors, emphasizing the complexity of the roster situation.
Karty, a sixth-round draft pick in 2024, had previously lost his position to Mevis during the 2025 season and was released by the Cardinals earlier this year. The Rams, currently at 3-4, are looking to improve their special teams as they prepare to face the winless Chargers.
