Sean Payton Aims for 200th Career Win Against Chiefs

Broncos coach Sean Payton is one win away from his 200th career victory, facing the Chiefs on Sunday. He currently holds a record of 199-120 across his coaching career.

Sean Payton, the head coach of the Broncos, is on the verge of achieving his 200th career win, with his next opportunity coming this Sunday against the Chiefs. He has secured five victories in the 2026 season, leaving him just one win shy of this significant milestone.

Payton's coaching record stands at 199 wins and 120 losses over 319 games, which includes a regular season record of 189-110 and a playoff record of 10-10. Achieving his next win will place him in a tie with Dan Reeves and Mike Tomlin for 10th on the all-time coaching wins list.

Additionally, with two more wins, Payton would match Marty Schottenheimer at 205 wins, while Chuck Noll and Paul Brown are ahead with 209 and 222 wins, respectively. At 62 years old, Payton is also pursuing the distinction of being the first coach to win a Super Bowl with two different teams.
