Sean Payton Takes Responsibility for Broncos' Loss to Chiefs
Following the Broncos' 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday night, head coach Sean Payton expressed his dissatisfaction with the team's performance, particularly his own role in the defeat.
Payton delegated play calling to offensive coordinator Davis Webb for the game, and he acknowledged the frustration of not being in control of the offense. He noted that the team struggled in various aspects, including poor third down and rushing statistics, with running backs J.K. Dobbins and RJ Harvey managing only 54 yards on 11 carries.
Payton indicated that he would evaluate Webb's performance as a play caller similarly to how he assesses players, focusing on corrections and learning from the game. He emphasized the need for significant improvements moving forward.
