Seattle Mariners Consider Four Experienced Managerial Candidates
The Seattle Mariners are actively searching for a new manager after Dan Wilson's exit, looking beyond their organization for potential candidates.
Reportedly, the Mariners are considering several former managers, emphasizing the importance of managerial experience. Joe Espada, currently with the Houston Astros, is seen as a leading candidate, having received permission to interview after his contract expired. Other candidates include Rocco Baldelli, who previously managed the Minnesota Twins, Brandon Hyde, the former Baltimore Orioles manager, and David Ross, who managed the Chicago Cubs.
Espada has a strong track record, including a World Series title as the Astros' bench coach. Baldelli, after a successful stint with the Twins, and Hyde, known for transforming the Orioles into contenders, also bring valuable experience. Ross, a two-time World Series champion as a player, has managerial experience with the Cubs, making him a notable option for the Mariners.
