Sebastien Loeb Tests New Project Rally One WRC Car
Rally champion Sebastien Loeb has participated in testing the new 2027 Project Rally One World Rally Championship car this week. His involvement is part of the team's efforts to prepare for the car's debut at the season opener in Monte Carlo scheduled for January.
Project Rally One revealed its new car designed to meet 2027 technical regulations last month and plans to enter two cars in select events next year. The team is utilizing up to eight drivers for development testing, including former WRC drivers and European rally champion Teemu Suninen, who is leading gravel testing.
Loeb's extensive experience, including 80 WRC victories, is seen as a valuable asset for the team. Testing took place over two days in the French Vosges, with initial tests conducted in rainy conditions followed by dry road testing. Feedback from both Loeb and Suninen has been positive, aiding the car's development as the team prepares to submit the homologation dossier to the FIA.
