Sébastien Ogier Issues Apology for Interaction with FIA President

The nine-time world champion expressed his regrets after raising concerns about the World Rally Championship at an inopportune moment during a press conference.

Ogier's comments came after he experienced issues with the WRC tyre supplier Hankook, which led to two punctures and his retirement from the rally due to front suspension damage. He had previously criticized the tyres as not meeting championship standards.

After the rally concluded, Ogier confirmed he had apologized in person to both leaders and held a constructive meeting with Ben Sulayem to discuss his concerns regarding the championship. He emphasized the need for improvements in the sport and expressed optimism about future actions to enhance rallying.
