Sebastien Ogier Set for WRC Comeback After Finland Crash
Sebastien Ogier is ready to return to the World Rally Championship in Paraguay next week after recovering from a crash during Rally Finland. The reigning champion and his co-driver Julien Ingrassia were leading the race when their Toyota GR Yaris veered off the road and rolled over. Both drivers escaped without serious injuries but were taken to the hospital for precautionary checks.
Following the incident, Ogier expressed his intention to participate in the remaining rounds of the championship, including events in Chile, Sardinia, and Saudi Arabia, if the season finale occurs. Although he acknowledges that his chances for a record-breaking 10th world title are slim, he is eager to reunite with his regular co-driver Vincent Landais and contribute to Toyota's efforts to secure a record-equalling manufacturers' championship.
Ogier, who won the inaugural WRC Rally Paraguay last year, aims to replicate that success and help Toyota outscore Hyundai by six points to clinch the title. His co-driver Ingrassia believes Ogier will be motivated and focused on performing well in the upcoming rallies.
