Sebastien Pocognoli Emerges as Leading Candidate for Scotland National Team

Sebastien Pocognoli, who previously managed Monaco, is currently the frontrunner to take over as head coach of the Scotland men's national football team following Steve Clarke's departure.

The 39-year-old coach led Union Saint-Gilloise to a Belgian league title last year and is now a free agent after leaving Monaco in June. Clarke stepped down after Scotland's exit from the World Cup group stage, where the team secured only one victory.

Pocognoli has limited experience in international coaching, having managed Belgium's Under-16 and Under-18 teams. This potential role would mark his first position at the international level and his third head coaching role in senior men's football.
