SEC to Challenge Court Order on Former NFL Players

The SEC, along with its commissioner Greg Sankey, will appear in court on Thursday to address the allegations made against them. The conference stated that the order is a temporary measure and not a final decision. They plan to comply with the order for the time being while reviewing the court's ruling after the hearing.

This legal battle is particularly significant for Louisiana State University (LSU), which could potentially include several former professional players in its lineup this season. Among them is Jack Pyburn, who was recently waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and intends to join LSU if he does not secure a spot with another NFL team. The SEC's rules, if enforced, could lead to severe penalties for schools and coaches, including suspensions and fines.
