Second Round of DP World India Championship Suspended Due to Fading Light
The second round of the DP World India Championship in New Delhi was suspended on Friday as fading light impacted several players, including Rory McIlroy.
Joost Luiten, Angel Hidalgo, and Adrian Meronk led the tournament at eight under par, while Thomas Detry was also tied at the top despite having completed only seven holes. Eddie Pepperell and Todd Clements finished their rounds just one shot behind the leaders.
McIlroy, who started strong with an eagle, was tied for 17th at four under par after four holes when play was halted. The delays followed a five-hour suspension on Thursday due to heavy rain and thunderstorms. The second round is set to resume at 02:45 BST on Saturday.
