Serena Williams and Carlos Alcaraz to Compete in 2026 U.S. Open Mixed Doubles
Serena Williams is set to team up with Carlos Alcaraz for the mixed doubles competition at the 2026 U.S. Open, according to an announcement made by tournament organizers on Sunday.
The mixed doubles draw will take place in Flushing, New York, with qualifiers starting on Monday and main draw matches scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Other notable teams include Aryna Sabalenka paired with Novak Djokovic, and Casper Ruud teaming up with Iga Swiatek.
Williams, who returned to tennis in June after a four-year break, recently faced a knee injury during her first-round match at Wimbledon. Alcaraz, ranked No. 2, will also be making his return after a four-month absence due to a wrist injury. The main singles matches for the U.S. Open are set to occur from August 30 to September 13.
