Seth Moniz and Erin Brooks Achieve Victories at Tahiti Pro
Seth Moniz and Erin Brooks achieved notable victories at the Tahiti Pro, revitalizing their performances in the 2026 Championship Tour. Both surfers had previously struggled, failing to advance past the second round in earlier events this season.
Moniz celebrated his first Championship Tour win, moving up 12 places to rank 19th overall. His journey included defeating reigning world champion Yoga Dora and other top competitors. In the final, he outperformed his friend Griffin Colapinto, scoring an impressive 9.1 on the last wave to secure his victory.
Brooks also faced a challenging path, overcoming local surfer Tya Zebrowski and world champions Carissa Moore and Molly Picklum to reach the final. She ultimately triumphed over rookie Anat Lelior, showcasing her barrel-riding skills with a top score of 8.93. The Tahiti Pro results have shifted the rankings, with Italo Ferreira reclaiming the lead in the men's category, while the women's top three remained unchanged despite early eliminations.
