Shane Steichen Anticipates Keenan Allen's Impact with Daniel Jones

During a joint practice with the Falcons on Wednesday, wide receiver Keenan Allen was absent, but Colts head coach Shane Steichen shared his thoughts on how Allen could integrate into the team's offense with quarterback Daniel Jones.

Steichen described Allen as the most intelligent receiver he has worked with, noting their previous time together at the Chargers from 2014 to 2020. He believes Allen's understanding of the game will facilitate a strong partnership with Jones, particularly in terms of route running and game adjustments.

Although Jones performed well in practice, completing all his passes during team drills, he acknowledged the importance of having a player like Allen who can create space, especially with other key players like Alec Pierce and Tyler Warren sidelined due to injuries.
