Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch to Compete in CARS Late Model Tour

Shane van Gisbergen and Connor Zilisch are set to represent Red Bull at the CARS Late Model Stock Tour race this weekend at Florence Motor Speedway in South Carolina.

The event, scheduled for Friday, September 4, marks van Gisbergen's debut in the CARS Late Model series, where he will drive the No. 51 Hettinger Racing car. This race follows a challenging experience for him in the Daytona Cup race, where he was eliminated from the Chase despite winning an early stage.

Van Gisbergen has demonstrated significant progress in oval racing this year, achieving top-five finishes at North Wilkesboro and Nashville. His teammate, Connor Zilisch, will also participate, driving the No. 8 JR Motorsports car. Zilisch has prior experience in the series, with 14 starts and a victory at Hickory in 2024.
