Sharks Overcome Canadiens with Celebrini's Overtime Goal
Macklin Celebrini scored his second goal of the night at 2:13 in overtime, helping the San Jose Sharks defeat the Montreal Canadiens 4-3 on Tuesday. The Sharks managed to come back from a two-goal deficit during the game.
Celebrini's winning goal came on a power play after Canadiens goalie Jakub Dobes was penalized for interference. In addition to his two goals, Celebrini also provided an assist, while teammates Tyler Toffoli and Michael Misa contributed to the scoreline. Sharks goalie Alex Nedeljkovic made 31 saves during the match.
Montreal's Juraj Slafkovsky, Cole Caufield, and Nick Suzuki each recorded a goal and an assist, but the Canadiens have now lost a two-goal lead for the fourth time this season. The Canadiens will begin a four-game road trip against the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday, while the Sharks are set to face the Ottawa Senators on Thursday.
