Shedeur Sanders Hires Agent Amid Trade Speculation
Shedeur Sanders, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, has hired Adie von Gontard, CEO of Young Money APAA Sports, as his agent. This decision comes after Marvin Harrison Jr.'s recent agency change, which contributed to his trade from the Cardinals to the Texans.
Sanders, who has been without an agent since entering the NFL, is currently bound to his rookie contract until 2028, preventing him from negotiating an extension with the Browns until then. The timing of his agency hire has led to speculation that he may be seeking a trade from Cleveland, especially as the team prepares to activate Dillon Gabriel from injured reserve.
Despite the Browns not planning to trade any quarterbacks, they will have four on their roster, including Deshaun Watson and rookie Taylen Green. Watson has recently regained the starting position, leaving Sanders in a less favorable spot. While Sanders has potential trade value, his inconsistent performance as a rookie and the Browns' current playoff aspirations may delay any moves regarding his future.
