Shohei Ohtani Hits Off Tee, Aiming for Return This Season
Shohei Ohtani participated in a hitting session off a tee on Tuesday in Los Angeles, indicating progress in his recovery from right biceps inflammation. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed that Ohtani remains on track to potentially return before the regular season concludes.
This session marked Ohtani's first swings since being placed on the 15-day injured list on September 8. Although he is not traveling with the team, he has been actively working out and receiving treatment.
Roberts expressed optimism about Ohtani's return, hoping he can play in several more regular-season games. The Dodgers have already secured a playoff spot, and as of Tuesday night, they were close to clinching their 13th NL West title in 14 years.
