Shreyas Iyer Achieves Career-Best Ranking in ICC T20I Batting

Shreyas Iyer, the captain of India's T20I team, has advanced to a career-best fourth place in the ICC T20 International batting rankings. This achievement follows his impressive performance in the ongoing five-match home series against the West Indies, where he scored his first T20I century in the series opener held in Lucknow.

With Iyer now ranked fourth, India boasts three players in the top four, including Ishan Kishan at the top and Abhishek Sharma in second place. Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan occupies the third position after achieving a personal best rating due to his recent performances against Sri Lanka.

In addition to Iyer's rise, Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis moved up to 23rd, while West Indies' Sherfane Rutherford climbed to joint 24th. India's Sanju Samson also improved his ranking, moving to joint 27th. Meanwhile, Pakistan's Maaz Sadaqat made a notable leap from outside the top 100 to 45th following his performances against Sri Lanka.
