Shubham Jaglan Claims First Professional Title at Coal India Open
Shubham Jaglan secured his first professional title at the Coal India Open held at the Tollygunge Club in Kolkata, finishing with a remarkable final round of six-under 64.
The 21-year-old golfer from Panipat completed the tournament with a total score of 14-under 196, winning by two shots in a rain-shortened 54-hole event. Jaglan, who was tied for fifth place before the final round, received ₹15 lakh in prize money and moved up to 14th in the DP World PGTI Order of Merit.
Despite a shaky start with a bogey, Jaglan rebounded strongly, finishing with an eagle, six birdies, and two bogeys. His father, Jagpal, served as his caddie during the tournament. The leader of the Order of Merit, Saptak Talwar, ended the event tied for 11th place.
