Shubman Gill Practices for Over an Hour at NCC Nets

Shubman Gill participated in a batting practice session at the Nondescript Cricket Club in Colombo, lasting over an hour. This session occurred shortly after Mohammed Siraj began Day 3 of the warm-up fixture.

During the practice, Gill was accompanied by net bowlers and coaches, including Gautam Gambhir and Morne Morkel. Although he had tape around his thumb, he showed no signs of discomfort as he resumed batting following an impact injury sustained prior to the warm-up match.

Gill focused on spin bowling during the session, which took place from 10:05 am to 11:25 am. After removing the tape from his hand, he continued to bat without issues. The team's head physio conducted a check afterward and appeared satisfied with Gill's progress. However, he is not expected to play in the ongoing warm-up due to injury concerns within the team.
