Silca Revives Omata Analog Bike Computer with Limited Production
Silca has announced the return of the Omata analog bike computer, a device that gained popularity among cycling enthusiasts about a decade ago. This stylish computer, resembling a fine watch, is designed to display essential cycling metrics such as speed, elapsed time, and elevation climbed.
The Omata combines a mechanical display with digital technology, capturing additional data like GPS, heart rate, and power in the background. Silca has made significant updates to the device, including redesigning the internal components and enhancing weather sealing for improved durability.
Production of the Omata is limited due to reliance on legacy Seiko components, making each unit rare. Priced at $800, the computer will be available in small batches exclusively in the U.S., with potential international shipping upon request.
