Sky Brown Secures Silver at World Skate Games in Paraguay
Sky Brown, an 18-year-old skateboarder from Great Britain, earned a silver medal at the World Skate Games held in Asuncion, Paraguay, as part of her quest to qualify for the 2028 Olympic Games.
In the women's park final, Brown scored 89.50 points, finishing just behind Japan's Mizuho Hasegawa, who took gold with a score of 91.00. This event was crucial for skaters aiming to accumulate world skate ranking points necessary for Olympic qualification.
Brown previously made history as Great Britain's youngest Olympic medalist when she won bronze at the Tokyo 2020 Games at the age of 13. She also secured another bronze at the Paris Olympics and is a two-time park world champion, having won titles in 2023 and 2025. Her brother, Ocean Brown, participated in the event but did not advance past the heats.
