Smriti Mandhana Becomes Leading Run-Scorer in Women's International Cricket

In a remarkable achievement, Smriti Mandhana of India has become the leading run-scorer in women's international cricket, accumulating 10,880 runs across all formats. This milestone was reached during the Women's T20 Asia Cup match against Hong Kong at the Dubai International Stadium, where she scored 124 runs off 64 balls.

India posted a total of 193 runs for 5 wickets in their 20 overs, while Hong Kong was bowled out for just 56 runs in 16.2 overs, resulting in a 137-run victory for India. Mandhana's century marks her 18th in international cricket, surpassing the previous record held by Meg Lanning.

Mandhana expressed her surprise at achieving this record, acknowledging the influence of former captain Mithali Raj, whom she regards as a role model.
