South Africa Makes Changes Ahead of Second Test Against Australia
South Africa has announced changes to its squad for the second Test against Australia, set to take place in Gqeberha. Coach Shukri Conrad confirmed that Matthew Breetzke has been called up, replacing Tristan Stubbs, who had a disappointing performance in the first Test.
Stubbs managed only 33 runs across two innings during the first Test, which South Africa lost by 214 runs. Breetzke, who has played two Tests previously, is expected to bring a fresh dynamic to the batting lineup. Ryan Rickelton will also take over as wicketkeeper, potentially leading to a shift in the batting order.
Additionally, South Africa is hopeful for the return of fast bowler Kagiso Rabada, who missed the first Test due to a hamstring issue. The team is looking to bounce back after their recent defeat.
