Spanish Grand Prix Set for Madring Circuit from September 11-13

The 2026 Formula 1 season will see the Spanish Grand Prix held at the newly constructed Madring circuit from September 11 to 13. This event marks the return of Formula 1 to Madrid, which last hosted a grand prix in 1981.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli recently achieved a remarkable victory at the Italian Grand Prix, coming from 19th on the grid. He will be joined by his Mercedes teammate George Russell, while Alpine's Pierre Gasly secured his first career pole position during the weekend. The race will consist of 57 laps, starting at 14:00 BST on Sunday.

The Madring circuit, built over the past two years, replaces the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit as the venue for the Spanish Grand Prix. The track features a length of 5.47 km and includes both street-circuit and road-course sections. Weather forecasts predict high temperatures throughout the weekend, with race day expected to reach 33°C.
