Specialized and Quick-Step Conclude 18-Year Partnership in Cycling
Specialized bikes and the Quick-Step cycling team have officially ended their partnership, which lasted 18 years, as of Monday. This collaboration was notable for its success, yielding over 800 victories for the team known as the 'Wolf Pack'.
The partnership, which began in 2007 and resumed in 2012 after a brief pause, was instrumental in the development of popular road bike models. Quick-Step riders achieved significant wins, including cobblestone monuments and stages in the Tour de France, riding on Specialized bikes like the Tarmac and Venge.
As the team transitions to Merida Bikes and rebrands as Soudal Safety Jogger in 2027, Specialized will shift its focus to other partnerships, including those with Red Bull-Bora-Hansgrohe and SD Worx Protime. The last race for Quick-Step on Specialized bikes was won by Tim Merlier at the Eneco Tour, marking a fitting conclusion to their successful collaboration.
