Specialized Launches the Demo 11 Downhill Bike
The Specialized Demo 11, a downhill bike developed over five years, is now available to the public. It has been tested by professional riders Loïc Bruni, Finn Iles, and Jordan Williams on World Cup tracks, leading to a production model that features 200 mm of travel and a mullet setup with a 29-inch front wheel and a 27.5-inch rear wheel, weighing 19.1 kg in size S5.
This bike is equipped with a HighGear drivetrain and OBB rear suspension, both of which enhance performance. The production model has a conventional monocoque carbon frame, available in a striking Satin Powder Indigo finish, and is priced at €12,499 for the S-Works build, with the frameset alone costing €7,499.
The Demo 11 is designed for a variety of riders, from tech enthusiasts to racers, but its high price may deter budget-conscious buyers. The bike's advanced features aim to provide a balance of agility and stability, making it suitable for both technical and smooth trails.
