St Helens Signs Solomona Faataape for 2027 Season
St Helens has announced the signing of centre Solomona Faataape on a two-year contract that will commence at the beginning of the 2027 season.
The 25-year-old player is transferring from Catalans Dragons, where he has made 20 Super League appearances this season, scoring nine tries in 23 games. Before his time in France, Faataape played in the NRL for Wests Tigers, where he recorded seven tries in 19 appearances.
Faataape expressed enthusiasm about joining St Helens, citing the club's rich history and passionate fanbase as key factors in his decision. His arrival comes as St Helens is currently without a head coach following Paul Rowley's departure and faces challenges in qualifying for the end-of-season play-offs, having lost eight of their last eleven league matches.
