St Kilda Considers Major Offer for Sydney's Nick Blakey
St Kilda is evaluating the possibility of offering three first-round draft selections to acquire Nick Blakey from Sydney. The Swans player is reportedly interested in a change of scenery, with several clubs, including North Melbourne, Gold Coast, Essendon, and Geelong, pursuing him.
The Saints recently met with Blakey and possess Picks 8 and 14, along with additional first-round selections. Channel Seven's Tom Morris noted that St Kilda aims to enter the competition for Blakey's signature.
North Melbourne has already proposed an eight-year deal exceeding $11 million, and Blakey is believed to prefer this club, which can meet both his contract demands and Sydney's requirements for draft picks. However, Sydney maintains control over the situation, as Blakey is under contract until 2031, with Swans list boss Chris Keane emphasizing the player's importance to the team.
