St Kilda Releases Midfielder Jack Carroll
St Kilda has announced that midfielder Jack Carroll will not receive a contract extension for the 2027 season. The 23-year-old participated in 12 AFL games this year before being reassigned to the VFL.
Carroll averaged 15.4 disposals and 6.1 marks per game in the AFL, and he recorded an impressive 26 disposals per match in the VFL. Over his two-year tenure with the Saints, he played a total of 15 games.
General manager of football Lenny Hayes described the decision as difficult, expressing gratitude for Carroll's contributions to the team. Carroll was originally drafted by Carlton in 2020 and later joined St Kilda as a delisted free agent in 2024. His future in football remains uncertain.
