State College Man Faces 18 Felony Charges for Cocaine Sales
A 40-year-old man from State College, James T. Turner, has been charged with 18 felonies related to the sale of cocaine. His arrest occurred on Thursday following an investigation involving State College police and the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.
According to a grand jury presentment, Turner allegedly sold cocaine to a confidential informant, who began purchasing small amounts for personal use in early 2024. By March or April 2025, the informant was reportedly buying five ounces weekly for $5,000. These transactions took place in residential areas of Ferguson and Harris townships.
The informant testified that he prepared the cocaine for resale and delivered smaller quantities on Turner's instructions. Controlled purchases were conducted by police, resulting in the informant buying one ounce for $1,000 in July and three ounces for $3,000 in August 2025. A subsequent attempt to purchase three ounces in January 2026 did not result in delivery. Turner faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to deliver and dealing in proceeds of unlawful activities, with a preliminary hearing set for October 28.
