Steele Sidebottom, a dual premiership player for Collingwood, has announced his retirement from the AFL, effective at the conclusion of the 2026 season.

He is set to play his 374th game this Saturday against Hawthorn and will complete the season, with Collingwood assured of at least one finals match. Sidebottom was drafted in 2008 and became a key player during the club's 2010 premiership run.

Throughout his career, Sidebottom has expressed gratitude for the support from teammates, coaches, and fans. He has been a significant contributor to Collingwood's success, including a pivotal role in their 2023 premiership victory. Sidebottom ranks second in games played for the club and shares the record for most games played as teammates with Scott Pendlebury.
