Steelers Activate Safety DeShon Elliott
Safety DeShon Elliott has been activated to the Pittsburgh Steelers' active roster after recovering from hamstring and knee injuries that sidelined him for the season. He is expected to make his debut against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Elliott was previously placed on injured reserve in August and had a limited season last year, playing only five games. During that time, he recorded 38 tackles, one sack, one interception, and one forced fumble.
In addition to Elliott's activation, the Steelers have elevated wide receivers Brandon Johnson and Brandon Smith from the practice squad. Ben Skowronek has been ruled out, leaving DK Metcalf, Germie Bernard, and Kaden Wetjen as the available wide receivers on the active roster.
