Steelers Adjust Plans Due to Weather, Injury Updates Released
The Pittsburgh Steelers arrived in Paris on Friday morning but had to cancel their scheduled walkthrough at Stade de France due to inclement weather. Instead, they will conduct their final practice on Saturday before facing the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
In their injury report, running back Rico Dowdle and safety DeShon Elliott were both listed as questionable due to knee injuries. Elliott is eligible to return from injured reserve, and the team must activate him by Saturday afternoon for him to participate in the game. The Steelers have available roster spots, allowing for this move without needing to make cuts.
Linebacker T.J. Watt, who was added to the injury report with a calf issue, has no designation and is expected to be available for the game. Meanwhile, wide receiver Ben Skowronek and cornerback Brandin Echols have been ruled out prior to the team's departure for France.
